For one of my most recent assignments, I got to spend the day with a homeless ministry in Dallas, TX called, OurCalling. Being born and raised in Dallas, TX I roamed the streets of downtown every day of the week as a kid. I had my fair share of encounters with the homeless men and women all across the city. And with that said, I thought I knew all there was to know about the homeless men and women. This leads me right back to one of the key reasons I love photojournalism, I realize I have so much to learn. Its quite humbling and invigorating. Talking with the employees, the volunteers, and the homeless people who they serve, broke down every opinion I ever had about these lovely people.
