WHAT YOU NEED: STORY MEETS STRATEGY
Does your organization or company know how to share your “why”? Do you need to improve your donor development? Do you need to grow your reach? Do you have a capital campaign caught in the dreaming stages? Your campaign has the ability to make it or break it. You need to stand out and in a world full of distraction. You need compelling storytelling paired with a solid strategy. This combination can take your vision to the next level. The power of story tugs heart strings and helps you connect with your audience on a deeper level. The strategy improves your connection even more. So what are your needs? What campaign do you have on the horizon? Let’s chat. Enjoy a few examples of how storytelling + strategy can change lives below.
THE TESSA GRACE NUTRITION PROJECT
CHALLENGE: Tessa Grace Nutrition program saw the need to expand across the globe. What once was a small program providing medical care and guidance to moms and babies in Dondo, Mozambique began to grew. They needed to increase donor development to support the need to expand to Haiti, Mexico, South Asia and beyond. The challenge is to raise awareness and funds for Tessa Grace Nutritional Program.
SOLUTION: I traveled to one of the Tessa Grace Nutrition Program locations to document the work of their program. After capturing stories, I traveled back to the states, crafted written content, photography and worked with our team to develop a strategy. The strategy included: storytelling, social media strategy, email campaign, and a web platform. Not only did we help tell a story, but we crafted a campaign and strategy that boosted donor engagement. Through the duo of compelling storytelling + strategy, Tessa Grace Nutrition Program surpassed their goal of $50,000. This is the power of story.
THE GLOBAL WATER PROGRAM
CHALLENGE: The Global Water Program witnessed the need. Women and children in deep poverty walk an average of 6 kilometers a day to fetch unsafe drinking water (World Vision). They needed to raise awareness and increase donor engagement to support and expand their work.
SOLUTION: We documented stories through writing and photography of the difference a water well made in the lives of these men, women and children. After crafting the story, we created a web presence, social media strategy, email campaign, and fundraising event highlighting the stories and showcasing the opportunity to change lives. Through the combination of storytelling + strategy, the campaign surpassed their goal of $100,000.
